About the event
The Tar River Chorus and North Carolina Choral Artists, accompanied by a large chamber orchestra, serve up a truly historic evening of music with ties to North Carolina...including two thrilling premieres! Under the direction of James Mauk, NCCA – a professional ensemble from Eastern North Carolina – will perform several selections before teaming up with Tar River Chorus to perform the North Carolina premiere of conductor Michael J. Glasgow's riveting Gloria. We are also honored to share the live-performance world premiere of Arctic Circles, a stunning work composed by the late McCanna "Mac" Sinise (son of actor Gary Sinise). Join us for an evening of powerful music!
